I went with Amoled on my last smartwatch because that deep black really makes notifications pop—especially in dark mode. The color contrast is just unbeatable when I'm checking heart rate or weather in a low-light café. But yeah, I noticed the battery takes a hit after a few months, so I had to adjust brightness more often than expected.
That said, my coworker swears by his LCD model because he never worries about screen time. He gets 5 days straight without charging, and the outdoor visibility is solid in direct sunlight. For him, consistency beats aesthetics every time.
