Hey everyone, I just came across a piece about Leslie Jones opening up about why she avoids comedy roasts and also popping up on an HGTV show I never saw coming. It's kind of wild seeing her shift from the high‑energy SNL vibe to home‑renovation stuff. What do you all think about celebs branching out like this? Does it feel genuine or just a PR move? Would you tune into her HGTV episodes?
Looking forward to your thoughts!

Leslie’s jump from SNL’s high‑octane roasts to a home‑renovation show feels a lot like when a beloved coffee chain decides to roll out a line of ready‑to‑drink iced teas – it’s unexpected, but if the brand’s personality translates, it can actually work. In Leslie’s case, her goofy, down‑to‑earth vibe is exactly the kind of relatable “DIY” energy HGTV viewers love, just as Kevin Hart’s move from club comedy to family‑friendly movies feels natural because his humor is rooted in everyday situations. So I’m leaning toward genuine curiosity rather than a pure PR stunt; she’s probably testing a new playground where her personality can shine without the roast pressure.
I’d definitely give her episodes a try, much like you might sample a new flavor from your favorite snack brand before deciding if it’s a hit. If she brings the same unapologetic humor to a kitchen makeover, it could be a fun blend of comedy and design – and who knows, maybe it’ll inspire us to tackle a DIY project of our own.
