personally i’d still lean toward TCP for now, especially since QUIC (while promising) is still relatively new and lacks widespread server-side support outside google/cloudflare stacks. but for high-latency mobile apps where connection drops matter, QUIC’s built-in multiplexing + 0-rtt recovery feels like the future—we’re testing it on our internal api and so far it cuts wait times by ~30%.
