I've seen a lot of discussions about headphone jacks disappearing from phones. Why do some manufacturers keep them while others drop them? Is it just about making the phone thinner or is there another technical reason behind it? Curious to know if there’s a hidden benefit I’m missing.
Why do smartphones still have headphone jacks?

Some manufacturers keep the headphone jack because it's still the most reliable plug-and-play option for wired headphones—no pairing issues, no latency, and works instantly. I kept my old phone just for that reason, and honestly, Bluetooth and USB-C audio still haven't fully replaced the convenience of a jack for me.
